Another season, another Tokyo Fashion Week behind us. This time it’s AW 2019.

I couldn’t be in Tokyo for this one again but I’ve watched all the shows online and on Instagram so I didn’t miss much ( let’s face it-  I am actually so depressed I couldn’ be there but oh well I have to try harder to make it to the next one !)

Although I coudn’t be there I’ve spotted few interesting trends emerging from the runaways for AW19 season.

What does Tokyo’s creativity has to offer for the next season ?

1. CROPPED SUITS & BLAZERS.

Unisex attire that has no gendered distinction is being seen more often on the runaways. 

2. MATTE THICK LEATHER OVERSIZED SHIRTS, COATS & JACKETS.

3. ALL PLAID + MEN SHOW MORE LEGS

All I can see are plaid, plaid plaid and plaid! And better wear it from head to toe along with socks. Can you dare to wear all plaid outfit ? I personally love it.

3. COMBAT VESTS – HALF VESTS IN MANY FORMS

Combat vests or tactical vests have been in fashion for a while but now they are evolvinging in a more subtle way and are incorporated into casual and even elegant style.

4. ASYMMTERIC PLEATED SKIRTS

My personal favourite. Everything that is asymmetrical and pleated is heaven to me, but put it together and I just won’t get enough of it !

5. SEMI TRANSPARENT PVC

My another love from few runaways before- seems this trend can’t get through the commercial stores yet but fashion adapters appreciate it already.

6. OVERSIZED POCKETS EVERYWHERE

The more the merrier. And they must be big.

7. COLOURED SHAVED HAIR

Only pastels and vivid colours counts. And of course platinum blonde.

8. BIG…I MEAN REALLY BIG SHOUDLERS

9. COLORFUL CLASHING PRINTS

10. TIE – DYE TREND

Like it or hate it but you have to accept the fact -it’s coming back to fashion !
